Machine-harvested 10/5 clone fruit from clay-influenced soils in Dillons Point, fully destemmed and fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged in seasoned French oak barrels.
Light red colour with youthful purple hues on the rim. This has a softly full and aromatic bouquet
with a good core of strawberry fruit with raspberry notes, interwoven with delicate herbal and liquorice elements, lifted by red florals. Medium-full bodied, vibrant and juicy flavours of
strawberries and red cherries unfold notes of dark raspberries to form a firm heart. Layers of fresh
and dried herbs, spices and aromatic red florals add interest. The fruit is supported by supple tannin extraction and underlined by gentle acidity lending a rounded mouthfeel. The wine flows easily, carrying to a light, dry finish of spicy strawberry and cherry fruit. This is a juicy, up-front Pinot Noir with strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavours, a rounded mouthfeel, and a light, dry finish.
Serve with tapas, poultry and pork over the next 4+ years.
