Hand-picked fruit from vines 14-17 y.o. from a single site in the Dillons Point district, WBP and fully barrel-fermented, the wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels, undergoing MLF with batonnage.
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, lighter on rim. The nose is full with good volume and concentration with an amalgam of savoury yellow stonefruits and citrus fruits entwined with strong nutty elements and complexing gunflinty lees and sulphide reduction notes. Medium-full bodied, the palate has fulsome flavours of white stonefruits melded with complex flinty lees and mineral notes showing with good depth and intensity. Layers of citrus fruits and nuts unfold lending complexity and interest. The palate has plenty of mouthfeel and presence, the wine with grainy phenolic textures and refreshing, lively acidity
providing cut. The wine carries to a long finish of stonefruits and flint. This is a fulsome Chardonnay with complex stonefruit, nutty and flinty flavours, good mouthfeel and freshness. Match with seafood, poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-5 years.
